The Capcom I/O Board or converter allows you to plug a Naomi board into any JAMMA type cabinet. Tests have shown that this can also be used with Taito Type X hardware, but please keep in mind this unit was made to be fully functional with Naomi boards first and foremost. Usage outside of this structure is up to you.
Sega also makes their own converter, however, the Capcom I/O hardware has many advantages over the Sega model:

Requires no separate power supply (less clutter, more compact). It draws it's power from the JAMMA connector.

It has it's own audio amplifier with volume control, so your cabinet does not need it's own audio amp.

To play 4 players games such as Power Stone 1 or 2, this is the only converter that will work. Sega's converter does not work with these games.

This is for a brand new Capcom I/O board, which Capcom USA Coin-Op originally sold to distributors for $450.00 a piece. Used ones generally go for $180-270.00, but those have thousands of hours and years of usage. These have zero hours on them and is probably the last time you'll see these for sale anywhere.
