Known as the leader in joystick design and durability, the Competition joystick is used in more arcade cabinets in the United States than any other type of joystick combined.  This stick is preferred by competitive players, using a medium spring for that perfect 'broken in' feel. 

 

Some sticks are either too loose or stiff and throws off your timing, hence more users, especially those who custom make their sticks use the Competition stick.
